NJABULO ON PHOTO DAY
Today is family photo day. The air is warm and the grass is green. We usually shoot these photographs on the first Sunday of every spring but Mama and Papa decided we do it on the Saturday this time. I asked my mother why we have to take family pictures every year and she said it’s so that we can see our growth as a family. My 3 older sisters love this idea and are always dressing up for the occasion. I love them a lot. Thembi is the oldest. Her and mom are best friends. Senzi is younger than Thembi, and Nthabiseng is younger than Senzi and Thembi. Nthabi is always wearing Gogo’s orange scarf. She misses Gogo. We all do. Oh yes, then there’s me. I’m the youngest and the only boy. I am 8 years old and my name is Njabulo.
